Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Utilizes enterprise resource planning (ERP) system for processes demand planning and forecasting, production scheduling, inventory and materials management, workflow management Analyzes Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Material Master data for accuracy and adjusts system parameters to achieve desired results Creates product build schedules for manufacturing and material demand plans for procurement, working across the order fulfillment process to integrate customer demand with production and supply chain capability Monitor and balance work center capacity/load, considering customer requirements Plan ramp-up / ramp-down demand planning for New Product Introductions, version changes, phase out / obsolescence Monitor and update manufacturing due dates at regular intervals to maintain an up-to-date plan for the production team Communicate with the Production Supervisor and Value Stream Manager on orders priorities, work center load, and any changing priorities Reviews, reports, and manages inventory levels, backlog, and product availability in accordance with business objectives Monitor standard lot sizes and safety stocks and recommend changes, as needed Assist with printing work order documents and labels, as required Proactively communicates with cross functional team to address urgent customer orders and material shortages Communicate with receiving/incoming inspection regarding incoming material quality inspection expedites, as needed Interacts with senior management on significant matters Communicate with the engineering staff on the bill of material and routing needs Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering or R&D to schedule tool trials, as needed Adhere to ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and OSHAS 18801 certification requirements Requires regular attendance per the schedule assigned by supervisor Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Flexibility to support 24/7 manufacturing operation
  • Previous experience in heavy manufacturing
  • ERP system experience in SAP or equivalent system
  • Three (3) years manufacturing planning experience or equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be able to work in open office atmosphere that might be noisy
  • Must be able to work in noise of open plant environment (hearing protection provided) that is can have extreme cold and/or heat temperatures
  • Must be able to work with oily, greasy, and dusty shop instructions
  • Must be able sit, operate keyboard, and view computer screen for 70% of the work day
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend occasionally
  • Must be able to recognize and translate numbers and letters accurately
  • Required to work a 40-hour workweek and be prompt and dependable
  • Must be able to work with oily, greasy, and dusty shop instructions
  • Must have visual acuity to be able to view, read and comprehend written materials, both printed on a computer screen for up to 85% of the work day
  • Must be able to listen and speak clearly over telephone and in person without Ability to work overtime as scheduled

Nice To Haves

  • CPM or APICS certification desired
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field preferred

Responsibilities
