About The Position

The Production Planner/Scheduler at Hilco Vision is responsible for managing the entire order life cycle, from order initiation to shipping and returns. This role involves organizing and processing work orders and product lines to ensure efficient production operations within the company, which specializes in eyewear and eye care solutions.

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree (preferred).
• Three or more years of experience in production planning within light assembly and manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of forecasting and demand planning systems.
• Proficiency utilizing an MRP-based Planning System, preferably Infor M3.
• Attention to detail, organized and efficient.
• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of the entire MS Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Issue and track work orders for assigned product lines based on MRP analysis and processes.
• Organize all work orders and sales orders for the production floor.
• Launch, process and schedule all sales orders and work orders, including cutting, printing and organizing all orders by department/product.
• Manage master production schedule to meet customer shipment deadlines and maintain sufficient stock levels.
• Work with CSR to expedite, resolve all order issues and advise on the status of orders.
• Minimize backorders through analysis of the backorder report and adjust schedules as necessary.
• Communicate all changes to the production floor.
• Fix any allocation issues that prevent orders from generating a picklist.
• Perform necessary steps in executing ECRs, re-work and other special orders.
• Establish expedite priorities with buyers and assist them as necessary.
