The Toro Company's Shakopee plant is the largest non-engine supplier to toro with 125,000 square feet of production facility. This location produces professional and residential component products. Employees at this modern facility provide precise cutting products, machine components, tooled stampings, and metal fabrication for assembly at other TTC manufacturing facilities. Your Opportunity: The Production Planner II, Dynamic Scheduling works directly with the Planning Team, they collaborate with multiple suppliers, and develop rapport with both the supplier and buyer. This role will exercises discretion and independent judgement both in independent work and providing guidance to other members of the Production Planning team, confirming parts availability for the near term production. They problem solve delivery issues, engaging Planners, Suppliers, Engineering and Sourcing. This role will train incoming Planners, and communicate material plans with manufacturing. They are a planner for limited number of Suppliers. Sponsorship: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Other Job Related Components: Work directly with the Planning Team, ensuring high frequency and urgency in proactive communication. Agility and flexibility when solving part shortages, working with multiple suppliers. Develop rapport with both the supplier and buyer. Makes oral and written presentations. Must work with Suppliers, Sourcing and Manufacturing in a professional manner. At the “Planner II” level the Production Planner may serve as a Lead for the Planning and/or have education and experience to support the performance of the team as a subject matter expert. Work Location: This opportunity is based at the Toro Manufacturing facility in Shakopee, MN. The current team works 5-days on-site. Remote or Hybrid is not available at this time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Nice To Haves

• 6+ years of manufacturing production planning experience.
• Those with demonstrated experience in Dynamic Scheduling environment are preferred.
• Those with manufacturing, heavy equipment or food planning schedules are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attends Tier meetings and communicates material status.
• Ensure production needs are met, by deploying Production Planning Team members.
• Specializes in critical need activities to support Production Planning.
• Support Manager, Planning and Production Control.
• Develops the material requirements for assigned commodities using all Toro SAP information, planned order and buy information.
• Plans purchase orders and JIT materials within inventory, freight costs and turn ratio goals.
• Firm releases specifying quantities and delivery dates utilizing the desired inventory level policies.
• Maintain the A, B, C policies as prescribed.
• Work with the buyer and vendor to resolve any and all problems.
• Coordinates all transportation activities for assigned commodities keeping the overall costs within the optimum cost and time parameters.
• Following the Tomah/Toro freight policies.
• Reports problems in a timely manner, work with supplier until issues are resolved.
• Assists in the issuance of lines down report.
• Analyzes the exception reports stating the over/under ordered and initiates the changes that are needed.
• Works with the Service department to obtain parts in support of the service fill rates.
