Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher) OR 3+ years of experience working as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license or registration in the state of California
  • 1+ years of experience with computers and MS Office products
  • Ability to work onsite at 4610 Northgate Blvd. Suite 130 Sacramento, CA 95834, Monday through Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift to 30 lbs

Responsibilities

  • Assist with ordering, receiving, counting, and maintaining inventory
  • Unpack and ensure proper placement of received inventory according to storage and/or refrigeration requirements
  • Accurately gathers medications and supplies according to specifications of compounding record
  • Restock pharmacy supplies
  • Organize medication orders to prepare for production
  • Package and label prepared medication orders, ensuring drug, related supplies, and education materials are included
  • Receive and replenish inventory/medication accurately by verifying quantity, lot number, expiration throughout multiple steps
  • Reorder inventory/medication as needed based on usage and forecasting
  • Receive and store 340B medications into standard inventory
  • Enter prescriptions from intake to order completion and verify member/patient data
  • Contact patients, pharmacists, and doctor's offices as a liaison for the pharmacy team
  • Communicate clearly and concisely via phone and electronic methods to patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers
  • Access, input, and retrieve prescriptions and medical/lab information from computer system
  • Verify whether medication is reimbursable, and resolve rejected claims
  • Process prescription refills and interpret supply needs as related to various therapies
  • Resolve customer issues, ensuring accurate information is provided
  • Able to multitask and channel communication from various business partners, driving patient centric quality care
  • Follow all State and Federal regulations and Pharmacy Policies and Procedures, adhering to HIPAA and confidentiality code of ethics
