About The Position

Set up, operate, and monitor paint line systems to ensure parts are coated to specifications, while maintaining proper material handling, equipment performance, quality standards and a safe work environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficient reading, writing comprehension and math skills.
Ability to follow instructions.
Must work in a professional and courteous manner with coworkers
Open to work in a diverse work environment
Manufacturing environment may incur extreme temperature variation
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 35 lbs. on a frequent basis
Ability to stand for 90% of the workday; walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear.
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Mix and maintain agitation of paint material.
Maintain an inventory of supplies such as foil, stamps, brushes, and filters.
Handle, store, and dispose of generated waste in accordance with safety and environmental standards.
Process parts according to operating standards, IWIs, and process sheets.
Adjust spray guns to control application thickness and coverage.
Maintain production logs, check sheets, and labor records for parts produced, downtime, scrap, and hours worked.
Track and record lot information throughout all processes.
Clean and change spray guns and booth filters as required.
Perform shift cleaning of work area and schedule fixtures for burn-off oven as needed.
Prepare finished parts in customer-approved containers with proper labeling.
Report excess scrap, equipment issues, or safety concerns to Supervisor.
Perform preventive maintenance on paint lines and equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety rules and regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
