About The Position

The person in this position has an important role on our production line by ensuring our coffee products are packed into cases and flow through the manufacturing line efficiently. Located in the middle of our lines, you will also be responsible for checking to make sure the product packaging is in good quality and without visible defects, as well as ensure packages are properly placed in cases.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, associate degree preferred
  • At least one year of related experience in a manufacturing or warehouse facility
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and ability to make independent judgments
  • Knowledge of manufacturing procedures and production environments
  • Ability and willingness to work in a team environment and interact effectively as a team contributor supporting company initiatives
  • Some PC skills and widely used software packages, such as Microsoft Excel, Work, and Outlook strongly desired
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Must be willing and able to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be willing and able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
  • Must be able to meet physical, environmental, and mental requirements outlined either with or without accommodation
  • Frequent lifting, bending, walking and standing for long periods of time
  • Must comply with all Federal, State, Corporate, Warehouse and Food Safety standards, policies, and guidelines (i.e., HACCP, GMP, SQF, FDA, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Manually pack items into appropriate cases according to specific line instructions
  • Ensure the items are safely and securely packed to prevent damage
  • Collaborate with Line Operators and Hand Stackers to help coordinate a consistent workflow and minimize downtime
  • Inspect products for defects or damage during the production phase and report issues to supervisors or quality control personnel
  • Observe production flow and address any issues whenever possible; report issues and concerns as needed
  • Keep track of product, quantity of finished items and packaging components as needed; organize stock and ensure that products are on-hand when needed
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment; this includes using appropriate lifting techniques, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), and following established safety guidelines
  • Keep the work area clean and organized and reporting any issues to the appropriate personnel
