About The Position

The Production Operator is responsible for performing manufacturing activities in a unionized, industrial production environment. This role involves operating machine processes and utilizing hand-work methods to produce products in designated areas such as precision cut, clean room, or bagging. The position requires adherence to detailed work instructions and includes shift work.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to work in a factory environment and follow detailed work instructions.
• Ability to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment used in the production processes, including saws.
• Examine products to ensure compliance with company and quality standards.
• Observe equipment operations to detect malfunctions and notify supervisors immediately.
• Load and unload items from machines as necessary.
• Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Cross-train in various processes as required.
• Document work details at the time of work.
