About The Position
The Production Operator position at Avient Corporation is crucial for the setup and operation of equipment that blends, mixes, packages, and transports liquid or dry chemicals used in customer products. This role is responsible for ensuring that the highest quality products are produced at the lowest possible costs while adhering to customer specifications and delivery requirements, all in accordance with Avient Corporation's policies and procedures. The operator will work primarily during night shifts, from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, and is expected to maintain a high standard of safety and efficiency throughout the production process. In this role, the operator will set up, start, and run all machinery, ensuring that all controls comply with operating and safety procedures as well as ISO standards. The operator will weigh ingredients to meet recipe specifications and ensure that the correct materials are delivered to the work area. Monitoring production and equipment is essential to ensure safe and efficient operations, and troubleshooting any equipment or processing issues is a key responsibility. The operator will also be required to document work completed, maintain data integrity, and participate in training and continual improvement processes. The position requires adherence to all safety and work rules, maintaining departmental housekeeping standards, and performing machine cleaning as necessary. The operator may also be involved in taking samples of materials for lab evaluation and making adjustments to batches as needed. Overall, this role is integral to the production process and requires a commitment to quality and safety.
