About the position

The Production Operator role is a contract position based in Carrollton, KY, responsible for assisting in various activities throughout the manufacturing plant. The operator will ensure that all duties are performed safely and efficiently, adhering to company safety standards while making necessary adjustments to equipment and processes to meet product specifications. This position requires teamwork and effective communication with all staff members.

Responsibilities

• Assist in activities throughout the manufacturing plant.
• Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner following company safety standards.
• Make equipment and process adjustments to ensure proper specifications for finished products are met.
• Perform quality checks and record results in the production and quality computer database.
• Change settings on equipment during changeovers.
• Perform routine cleaning, inspecting, and minor operator maintenance on equipment.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience as a production operator is required.
• Ability to work 8 or 12 hour shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Mechanical knowledge and experience with automated plant manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to use Windows computers and perform tests on manufactured products using measurement devices such as tape measures and micrometers.
• Comfortable completing written production forms and interacting professionally with all employees and management.

Nice-to-haves

• Forklift or mobile equipment experience is a plus.
• Past experience with TPM, WCM, Lean manufacturing, and 5S is definitely an asset.
