About the position

The Production Operator at Kaneka Aerospace LLC is responsible for following manufacturing work instructions to produce quality products safely and efficiently. This role involves operating plant process equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards, and achieving production goals in a cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities

• Follow company Safety Policies, prioritizing personal and fellow employee safety.
• Perform loading and unloading of raw materials and products safely.
• Accomplish daily production goals and monitor process operations for environmental compliance.
• Deliver production samples to the Laboratory as required.
• Inform Plant Manager of mechanical and process problems that require changes to procedures.
• Complete process log sheets, check sheets, and other paperwork in a timely manner.
• Inspect equipment and report malfunctions to the Production Supervisor.
• Make suggestions for improvement of existing operating procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the plant.
• Package final products according to plant policies and procedures.
• Store final products properly in the warehouse.
• Escort outside contract personnel in the plant.
• Keep the Production Manager informed of deviations from normal process parameters.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 3 years of experience as a Production Operator (preferred)
• Basic math skills
• Mechanical knowledge
• Mid-level manufacturing experience
