About The Position
As a Production Operator at MAHLE, you will be an integral part of our manufacturing team, responsible for performing various operations necessary to assemble parts and sub-assemblies to complete final units for a range of cooling units, heater cores, evaporators, radiators, and other HVAC products. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to perform light activities to ensure the proper location of individual components, which may involve the use of automated hand tools to secure components effectively. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading components to and from equipment for processes such as coating, cleaning, brazing, and leak checking. You will operate ovens for various products, making necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operations. Additionally, you will be responsible for loading and unloading racks, conveyors, and pallets to support production, as well as inspecting components and assemblies throughout the process to ensure quality standards are met. Once units are completed, you will pack them for shipping, including labeling shipping containers appropriately. The position requires a commitment to maintaining a clean work environment, including general cleaning of workstations and production areas. As a full-time employee, you will be expected to work 40+ hours per week, with the possibility of overtime. This role is entry-level, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start their careers in manufacturing. MAHLE is a union facility, and employees are required to participate in union dues and fees. You must be flexible to work any shift during the first 90 days of employment, after which you can submit a shift preference request based on seniority.
