The Owatonna, MN location is part of Kerry's Dry Beverage Division, specializing in agglomeration and/or coating of nutraceuticals and functional food ingredients found in dietary supplements and drinks. The site has approximately 50 employees who contribute to product formulations, ingredient processing, and particle coating solutions within the food and beverage and nutraceutical ingredient industries. Kerry is hiring career-minded people to help meet growing demands for quality ingredients, offering a fast-paced environment with supportive colleagues. The Production Operators follow formulas to ensure customers receive the ideal dry blended ingredients to flavor their products. This involves the operation of a variety of production and processing equipment to manufacture products efficiently and within all specifications and quality standards.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent required, eighteen (18) years or older
  • Ability to maintain a good attendance record
  • Availability for overtime
  • Must be self-motivated and conscientious
  • Ability to work well with a team or other coworkers
  • Mechanical aptitude and analytical skills to solve mechanical problems
  • Ability to complete certification requirements

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of Food or chemical manufacturing experience
  • 6 months of prior electric pallet jack operation and safety certification
  • Use of MS products, Excel and SAP software

Responsibilities

  • Follow formulas to ensure the customers receive the ideal dry blended ingredients to flavor their products
  • Operate a variety of production and processing equipment to manufacture products efficiently and within all specifications and quality standards
  • Pull raw materials
  • Measure ingredients
  • Use lift trucks and/or cranes
  • Monitor and document production results
  • Maintain safe processes
  • Ensure all government regulations, policies and related processes are met and or exceeded
  • Consistently communicate with the production team
