As a Production Operator - Teslin at PPG Barberton- Norton, OH plant, you will be a crucial part of our operations, ensuring that a quality product is available to our customers when they need them. You will report to a Production Supervisor. Your work will directly affect people's lives! Wage progression:1st scheduled raise after training (10-12 weeks) Additional wage progression is based on the number of qualifications. The more you know and can do, the more you can make. Currently tops out at $30.75. Responsibilities

  • Must perform all job tasks in a safe manner by following all of the mandatory safety requirements and guidelines.
  • Ability and willingness to adjust to change and to be assigned to any production area in the department, or work on other non-production related tasks.
  • Work safely and use good judgement in all work situations.
  • Effectively resolve and troubleshoot problems.
  • Work effectively with others to accomplish goals and take ownership.
  • Start up and stop equipment.
  • Take and follow instructions from Supervisors and Lead operators.
  • Work with equipment following set safety procedure, including working with hazardous chemicals, laboratory, and other devices.
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Ability to work in varying elements depending on assignment. This includes dust, dirt, hot and or wet conditions, and outdoor elements.
  • Must follow strict safety procedures.
  • Perform basic quality and process checks.
