About The Position

KEMET is currently seeking a Production Operator for its Tantalum department. In this role, the operator will be responsible for operating machinery according to standard procedures, adhering to all safety requirements, maintaining quality through consistent effort, and meeting daily throughput goals. Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Must be able to pass a drug test
  • One year experience in a manufacturing environment required
  • Must be able to read and comprehend English (verbal and written)
  • Must be able to work with other team members to achieve a common goal
  • Must be able to exercise independent judgment at times

Nice To Haves

  • Have a basic understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic principles preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks according to written work instructions
  • Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
  • Follows prescribed safety regulations
  • Maintains records as required
  • Completes computerized transactions involving bar code scanning and data entry
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned
