About The Position

Production Operator - Glendale, CA Our client is currently looking for a Production Operator for their chemical manufacturing site in Los Angeles (Glendale), CA. As a flexible and motivated team member, you will operate plant equipment and chemical processes safely and efficiently to production output. Pay Rate: $30.00 per hour You will be responsible but not limited to the following: Safely handle chemicals and chemical processing equipment (vessels, mixers, reactors, dischargers) for the manufacture of epoxy and polyurethane type formulations for aerospace, electronics, tooling, etc. Processes incorporate heating, cooling, vacuum, pressure, nitrogen purging and exothermic reactions. Good housekeeping is essential along with motivation for high quality. Use of a forklift and physical handling of drums is common. The role also includes the filling of containers and cleaning of equipment and tools. The individual should be able to work independently as well as part of a team, following instructions and completing tasks as assigned by Supervisor/Lead Operator. Participate in Environmental, Health and Safety initiatives as set forth by the company.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent, such as GED
• 3 or more years of related experience in a manufacturing facility, preferably a chemical formulation plant
• Must be authorized to work in the US, and be able to pass a background check and a drug test
• Must be willing and able to work any of the three shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) based on business needs
• 1 st Shift Hours – 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
• 2 nd Shift Hours from 2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
• 3 rd Shift Hours from 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.
