About The Position

T1 Energy is bringing solar manufacturing back to the U.S. by building a domestic solar supply chain. Our mission is to invigorate America with scalable, reliable, and low-cost energy. Our fully operational 5GW solar module facility in Wilmer, Texas, can manufacture more than 20,000 modules every 24 hours. By the time you finish reading this paragraph, we will have produced two solar panels that will power American homes and fuel domestic AI. The Role T1 Energy is looking to hire a Production Operator which will be responsible for driving and executing the day-to-day work of the production line while ensuring that quality and safety standards are met. Production Operators continuously monitor the performance and efficiency of production equipment and communicate with the Line Leader about any line issues. You will be required to work 12-hour shifts (4-3 / 3-4).

Requirements

  • Ability to read and understand technical documents, manuals, and instructions
  • Ability to work in a high-volume environment to meet production targets and deadlines
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work overtime and/or flexible shift hours when required
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Communicate production information to the Line Leader and fellow Operators
  • Performs all duties in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner as instructed by the Line Leader
  • Verifies that the correct material is being consumed at the production line according to the Build of Materials
  • Identify and record acceptable and defective products
  • Assembles, inspects, and cleans solar modules per work instructions
  • Operate and conduct continuous monitoring of automated machinery
  • Perform continuity testing using a meter
  • Connect cables and wires to complete assemblies and installations
  • Perform basic quality auditing, testing, and troubleshooting functions to ensure product quality
  • Clean machines, tools, and equipment
  • Other duties or tasks as assigned by leadership.
