Summary: The Production Operator will support the pre-operation activities ensuring proper equipment startup. This role requires someone with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to run a machine.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
  • Ability to measure.
  • Ability to count.
  • Must be able to read operation standards and complete various daily reports, i.e. quality, production.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. (depending on department)
  • Repetitive motion in all departments.
  • Standing 10+ hours a day (sometimes standing in one spot for 10+ hrs.)
  • Bending, twisting, stooping, reaching above head.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, push, bend and/or squat for 10+ hours in a day.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25-50 Ibs at a time.
  • Regularly perform repetitive tasks
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing facility environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation of equipment.
  • Operate/monitor equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops.
  • Feeding raw materials into a machine and following a standardized work procedure to create a product.
  • Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials.
  • Accurately completing production reports and providing data to floor leadership.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
