This Production Operator role in Texarkana, TX involves filling cryogenic liquids and pure non-flammable industrial gases according to Airgas Fill Plant Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring quality through testing, and inspecting cylinders for safety.

Requirements

  • Must have the ability to become forklift certified.
  • Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend all written documentation and instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Fills cryogenic liquids and pure non-flammable industrial gases according to Airgas Fill Plant Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Sets pressure gauge to target reading and attends to indications of full cylinders.
  • Adjusts valves and is mindful of gauges to fill cylinders to the target pressure.
  • Mindful of scale indicators to fill cylinders to the target weight.
  • Fills cylinder to full capacity, rolls cylinder onto scale and connects vent line to release excess gas and attain the prescribed weight.
  • Rolls cylinders onto platform, or positions cylinders in manifold racks manually or with the aid of material handling equipment.
  • Pioneers quality by testing gas for purity using testing equipment.
  • Inspects or tests empty cylinders as part of our safety commitment.
  • Examines exterior of cylinder for surface defects such as dents, cracks, or burns, and determines the best path for the cylinder, including whether to quarantine it for further inspection.
  • Supports the team with other needs as they arise.
