About The Position

Great schedule - 4 10 hour days Monday through Thursday. Start at 6am, finish at 4:30pm. Friday through Sunday off or occasionally pick up hours. Position Summary: Operate equipment and complete production projects using specific learned standard operating procedures.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or above
  • Excellent Attendance
  • 0-2+ years manufacturing, operations, mechanical or related experience
  • Able to demonstrate proficiency in 1+ areas of production: i.e. ball milling, MAIC, V-blending, web handling, screening, hammermilling, spray drying, tray drying, melt spraying/prilling, spheroidizing, water-beads, liquid blending/alginate
  • Independent organization and prioritization of multiple tasks
  • Able to work effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Able to read, interpret, apply, and communicate technical information, including drawings, statistical data and specifications
  • Skill and ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing
  • Knowledge of equipment, production, and packaging processes
  • Up to 100% on the manufacturing floor that requires the ability to walk, stand, sit, reach, climb, bend, twist, push, pull, handle, lift, see, and hear; able to operate forklifts, fork trucks, pallet jacks, hoists, and other equipment to move materials; able to press buttons, operate levers, use wrenches, connect hoses, stack, load, unload, climb stairs, and use ladders; frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and/or moving heavier objects with mechanical assistance; work environment may be very loud, warm, humid, and/or have dust, dirt, debris, and odors; some products contain allergens that may cause physical reactions in certain individuals; requires ability to properly wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as dust masks, smocks, safety glasses, hearing protection, hair nets, gloves, etc.
  • Up to 5% general office work with ability to sit for certain periods of time to complete documentation, refer to written procedures, log measurements, and related; ability to read, write, and print neatly

Responsibilities

  • Executes all processes according to the provided documentation and AVEKA’s quality and safety systems
  • Set up, run, and clean up production jobs including some or all of the following which may or may not be continuous and/or repetitive:
  • Moving equipment into place
  • Assembling equipment
  • Use of a forklift or pallet jack
  • Manually moving drums
  • Cleaning of equipment and surrounding areas
  • Properly review and fill out associated documentation
  • Prepare products for shipping
  • Meet deadlines and goals set out by management
  • Assist engineers with set-up and implementation of new processes
  • Report maintenance issues / request to the Facility Foreman or other supervisor
  • Complete paperwork ensuring accuracy and output requirements
  • Continuous learning and ability to take on more and more production processes
  • Perform tasks with the utmost safety in mind for oneself and other employees
  • Adhere to all OSHA and AVEKA safety rules, guidelines, and protocols
