Novelis has an exciting opportunity for a Production Operator at our Ashville, OH facility, offering a competitive wage of $22.19 – $25.27 (+ $.50/hr per hour shift differential). As a Production Operator you will be placed in one of our various departments after your initial orientation. Job responsibilities may include trimming width or painting/coating large aluminum coils using industrial machines. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • The willingness to work nights, weekends and holiday shifts as we operate 365 days a year.
  • Dependable, team-player who can demonstrate initiative.
  • Basic computer, math and reading skills.
  • Must be able to lift and /or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to handle paint and coater solvents safely.
  • Comfortable working in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to climb up and on plant equipment, and such activities as walking, kneeling, stooping, bending, driving carts, occasional reaching with hands and arms, and climbing stairs to reach plant offices and equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of experience in production/manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Ability to operate powered industrial trucks (i.e. forklift).
  • Military MOS Crosswalk can include but is not limited to: Army 12N – Horizontal Construction Engineer 21E/12E – Construction Equipment Operator Navy EO – Equipment Operator Air Force 3E2X1 – Pavements and Construction Equipment Marine Corps 1345 – Engineer Equipment Operator

Responsibilities

  • Operation of machine equipment and/ or running manual tasks in order to maintain safety, operational efficiency and quality of the product or goods handled.
  • Ensure timely and accurate production.
  • Moderate lifting and bending
  • Utilize forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. to unload, move, stack and load various materials.
