The Opportunity This position works out of our Abbott Park, IL (Lake Bluff, IL) location in the Transfusion Medicine, Diagnostics Division. Every day, more than 10 million tests are run on Abbott’s diagnostics instruments, providing lab results for millions of people. The Production Operator is responsible for all tasks associated with production activities for aseptically filling and label application of the filled bottles/vials. Functions include but are not limited to the operation (setup, shutdown, and cleaning) of filling equipment inside of an ISO 7 environment, the operation (setup, shutdown and cleaning) of multiple pieces of equipment in which we perform quality checks and label application in open air Controlled Non-Classified area (CNC), extensive documentation digitally and hard copy. Operator will also be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment, general housekeeping, and support production activities outside their direct area or work. Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment with the ability to comprehend, make decisive decisions and use problem solving skills while always maintaining quality product and area GMP. Shift and Training Schedule: Shift hours will be from 6:00 am – 2:30 pm Monday – Friday with Overtime on Saturdays depending on the needs of the business. There will be a 4-month training period for this position from 6:00 am – 2:00 pm with OT on Saturdays.
