Job PurposeExecutes assigned production tasks in accordance with procedures to ensure quality, service, health/safety/environmental and cost metrics are met.Key Responsibilities Performs daily production, preventative maintenance, process data collection, and administration tasks per procedures and control systems. Takes ownership of production assets and ensures they are operated safely and in compliance with established procedures, guidelines, and industry best practice. Ensures all (shift team) production targets are met while maintaining appropriate quality standards. Issues corrective action request (CAR) and hazard report when any relevant issue is noticed, regardless of location or responsible department. Actively participates in safety programs, performing daily checklists and 5S participation. Reports safety, quality, or other issues related to products or production processes to Team Leader/Shift Supervisor. Contributes to the investigation of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) or quality issues for customer complaints, reject batches, or other quality related issues.NOTE:  Additional responsibilities may be required based upon the specific assigned area within facility to include Tank Wash, Pre-Kit, Material Coordinator, Fill Off, Batch Maker, or Milling/Grinding.

Requirements

  • One (1) year experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in a paint or chemical manufacturing facility preferred.
  • Ability to operate a forklift, following all operating instructions effectively and efficiently. Must be able to pass forklift assessment to obtain certification.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow safety instructions and safety guidelines.
  • Ability to read and apply accurate labels.
  • Effective organizational and communication skills. Must be able to work independently and with a team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Ability to measure and weigh accurately.
  • Ability to lift and handle containers or maneuver drums.
  • Ability to climb stairs wearing steel-toed footwear.
  • Ability to work in hot and cold environments and inclement weather.
  • Ability to work in manufacturing environment with exposure to chemical agents.
  • Ability to maintain arm and/or hand steadiness.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
  • Must possess near vision with the ability to read labels and view details within close proximity.
