About The Position

AM General is hiring Production Employees to support our JLTV A2 Launch and Humvee production. AM General Hourly employees are represented by the UAW and together the Company and the Union strive to create a working environment that supports and develops it workforce. These positions are for our Bristol location. Logistics Operations Center 203 StoneMont Dr Bristol, IN 46507 There may be opportunities in future to bid to our South Bend or Mishawaka Locations

Requirements

• Must be able to work on a contract basis for the first 30 days. That time will be credited toward any benefits with a time worked requirement
• Must be able to read and follow standardized work and job instructions
• Must have basic computer skills
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
• Communicate effectively with other employees in area
• May be required to learn multiple jobs
• Must be able to use assigned hand tools, power tools, and torque tools
• Shift start time 5:00 am

Nice To Haves

• Previous manufacturing experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assemble/drill parts in accordance with standardized work and job instructions
• Confirm quality of work performed
• Technical capacity to run equipment within the facility
• Must be able to use assigned hand tools, power tools, and torque tools
• Works and communicates with other employees
• Perform job duties in a safe and efficient manner and in compliance with safety rules
• Maintain clean working environment
