Production Operator
About The Position
Overall Responsibility: Prepare raw materials, complete production processes, package finished products, clean facilities and equipment and perform quality checks to assure that only quality products are shipped to customers. Key tasks and responsibilities: ? Complete work as assigned and outlined in the SOPs for any of the areas within our Production department: Depositing, Traying, Batch Drying, Continuous Drying, Packaging, and Relief Operator. Use specific production equipment assigned to the specific department and position. ? Adhere to GMPs and Food Safety Policies and Occupational Safety Policies to maintain a safe work environment. ? Report Food Safety, Quality and Occupational Safety concerns area leads and to shift lead. ? Perform sanitation duties as needed. ? Perform Master Cleaning Schedule duties as needed ? Make process improvement suggestions. ? Properly dispose of waste material and used packaging supplies. ? Record quality and production data such as weights, lot numbers, metal detection, and temperature. ? Assist other employees as needed to complete tasks. Work Environment Potential Hazards: The Plant Environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals. Climbing or moving on ladders, steps, stairways, walkway, and platforms. Work around smells/odors. Work with or around sanitation/cleaning chemicals. Slips, trips, falls, noise exposure, muscle strain.
