About The Position

As a part of the Production Team, you are responsible for several bakery manufacturing activities. As an operator, you must be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, be able to communicate and work effectively in a team structure and be flexible in work assignments within the operator category. The assignments are as follows: Mixer, Fryer, Oven Operator, Wrap Operator, Depositor, Scaler, VFFS, Pearson, Vari Straight Right/Left, Enrober. You must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions, safely and accurately complete assigned duties and maintain GMP standards. You will be a part of the Food Defense Team.

Requirements

  • Previous manufacturing experience required
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
  • Previous safety training required.
  • Troubleshooting experience or mechanical aptitude required.
  • Experience assisting with change overs preferred.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for setting up operation of bakery equipment and manufacturing line, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products per production guidelines.
  • Ensures compliance with Production/Packaging procedure/practices as well as inspecting all areas within one (1) line/equipment for any operational and/or mechanical issues.
  • Reports all equipment issues to the supervisor or manager as soon as possible.
  • Complete and submit reports throughout the day regarding production.
  • Visually inspects product for quality and quantity.
  • Monitoring runs and performing basic troubleshooting on our Bakery equipment.
  • Support quality control programs to ensure production procedures follow best practices of food safety and quality standards.
  • Understands and complies with all safety procedures that apply to daily operations.
  • Work safely; follow proper lock out/tag out procedure where applicable.
  • Maintains a safe and clean environment by adhering to safety policy, 5S SOP, SSOP, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) procedures.
  • Adheres to safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation.
  • Responsible for disassembly and sanitization of bakery equipment to meet all food safety requirements and guidelines.
