The Vaughns/Furnace Operator is responsible for providing accurate paperwork and record keeping. Must have the ability to use measuring and test equipment as required, follow all company rules and policies as well as OSHA/EPA regulations. This position reports to the Supervisor – Fiber Web and is part of the Fiber/Web Department located in Deland, FL and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Manipulate heavy wire and operate the continuous furnace. Setup and operate all equipment to produce products to specification requirements. Work under the direction of supervisors or more experienced personnel with little supervision. Maintain an acceptable level of attendance (as measured by the Attendance Policy) and use protective equipment as required. Maintain accurate records and logs and collect any necessary data for use by Engineering. Cross train and/or work on any Fiber/Web equipment as necessary including Leach to meet schedule.
