Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • This role is scheduled for rotating 12-hour shifts. Must be able and available to work days, nights, overtime, weekends, and holidays
  • Related work experience in chemical plant, industrial/manufacturing, or military is preferred
  • The ideal applicant will be proficient in math, reading comprehension, and mechanical reasoning with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Able to follow detailed instructions and record precise chemical process information.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency is required
  • Must be able to walk/stand/bend/stoop, raise and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders. Wearing personal protective equipment (FR clothing, hard hat, safety glasses, heeled boots and hearing protection) including the use of a respirator is required. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms
  • Must be willing to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances in all weather conditions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as outstanding interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team are critical for success
  • This role is subject to the Transportation Workers Identification Credentialing rule or "TWIC" and requires the successful candidate to obtain a TWIC identification badge, allowing for unescorted access to the facility within a specific time
  • This role is not eligible for work visa sponsorship

  • Associate degree or Certificate in related technical field is preferred
  • Related work experience in chemical plant, industrial/manufacturing, or military is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control five chemical batch reactors through computerized system
  • Measure chemicals and add to process
  • Perform housekeeping and maintain a safe working environment
  • Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines and procedures
  • Operate reactors and equipment to expected performance levels
  • Work in a team environment where your contributions are encouraged, recognized, and valued
  • Any other duties as deemed necessary
