The basic purpose or function of this position is: Operate robotic spray equipment to produce proper surface buildup or thickness per process sheets and/or customer drawings and specifications. Assist and continue to learn robotic flame spray application to additional CSD parts from higher classified Plasma Sprayers. JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To be eligible for this position, an individual must possess the following requirements to perform the essential job functions. The specific EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE requirements of this position are: Have High School education or the equivalent. 1-2 years Plasma experience. The specific LICENSES and/or CERTIFICATIONS required for this position are: None The specific SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE required for this position are: 1 - 2 years related experience. Knowledge of masking, grit blast, plasma spray and minor maintenance of equipment of plasma equipment. Able to operate plasma spray equipment in use at the Company C level (entry level). Able to interpret and follow all methods and process sheets and/or customer drawings and specifications. Use shop mathematics, including decimals. Able to comprehend, interpret and follow directions, both written and verbal, as generated by the Company. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS A.) The duties and responsibilities regularly performed for this position are: Set up robotic flame spray machine and equipment Fits part to be coated into tooling and adjusts part to achieve proper angle for best surface exposure Adjusts nozzle and loads required plasma per customer specification. Sets robotic sprayer to proper settings Determine necessity to change nozzles, insulators and/or powder ports. Uses precision measuring instruments to check work Operate and maintain wire spray and thermal spray gun Practice all safety precautions applicable to spray facilities. Perform minor daily maintenance on equipment and fixtures. Must be proficient in masking and surface preparation techniques for all parts. Effectively assist and train others of lesser skill and/or experience. Maintain accurate paperwork and records. Maintain high standard of housekeeping in work area. Interpret and follow methods and process sheets. Use shop mathematics, including decimals. Able to follow directions, both written and oral, as generated by the Company. Regular and punctual attendance. Follow all Safety and Environmental Procedures.
