The candidate will pack product that comes down the conveyer line. Some products once packaged can weigh more than 50lbs per item.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • Must be able to work both independently and in team environment.
  • Must be able to tolerate physical and environmental demands of the position.
  • Must have some work experience doing heavy manual labor within the last 5 years.
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing/food production experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Package product from line that weighs between 18-50 lbs. per bag.
  • Must be able to lift bags to place on pallets, from floor to over shoulder, repeatedly. (approx. 1 bag/minute)
  • Will observe product from line for proper color, texture and smell. Examples are provided to compare to. Will notify lead or supervisor immediately if something appears incorrect.
  • Completes paperwork which includes but is not limited to move tickets that are attached to each pallet, line sheets summarizing production, animal feed tickets for sale and readings of product/equipment (when needed).
  • Procuring samples from production line for testing by QA Team.
  • Completing weight and metal detector checks during shift.
  • Clean during shift and at weekend in preparation for next production run.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Attend all meetings and trainings as required. Observe all safety guidelines and report safety concerns to your direct supervisor or management.
