About The Position

The Production Operator at Stanley Black and Decker is responsible for operating machinery within the department to prepare pieces for final assembly. This role emphasizes safety, productivity, and quality control, ensuring that all production processes adhere to specified standards and procedures.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to read basic measuring devices including micrometers and calipers.

Responsibilities

• Operate all machinery within the department safely and productively.
• Run production and move parts according to work instructions.
• Inspect finished work pieces for conformance to specifications.
• Document all production data, including work instructions and labor transactions.
• Identify and report machine malfunctions or non-conforming parts.
• Communicate and cooperate with departmental employees to maintain quality and operational efficiency.
• Maintain clean machines and work area.
• Perform all duties in accordance with prescribed safety procedures.
• Deburr, grind, and polish parts as needed.
