Responsibilities

• Commitment to safety and quality
• Perform Area 5S tasks
• Be flexible to work any assigned shift
• Conduct autonomous maintenance tasks such as greasing and checking fluid levels
• Operate overhead cranes, jib cranes, and motorized vehicles
• Participate in continuous improvement activities
• Perform minor troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical problems
• Know the locations of all shutdown and lockout switches in the assigned area
• Remove scrap from the area
• Operate all floor stations in the assigned area
• Make adjustments to equipment as directed by operators or supervisors
• Understand the functionality of all equipment in the pipe mill
• Identify quality defects and their origins
• Inspect pipe and report any non-quality issues immediately
• Perform essential duties of floor operations
• Minimize operational delays by proactively tending to breakdowns and identifying potential hazards
• Complete shift reports and submit to Team Leader by the end of each shift
• Execute tooling and roll changes
• Make effective repairs to equipment as necessary
• Operate and understand QA tools and measurement parameters
