Job Title Production Operator III Responsible for performing multiple processes relating to the manufacture of technical ceramics and/or metals following work order specifications. Works within a team environment to meet departmental goals. Maintains work area cleanliness.

Requirements

Shift: Swing Shift: Monday - Thursday: 3:30pm - 1:30am MST
Minimum of 1-year applicable manufacturing experience.
Prior machine operator experience required
Ability to understand and act on verbal and/or written instructions.
Read/interpret standard and metric measurements.
Intermediate math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Experience with handheld measuring devices (e.g., drop gauges, micrometers) and hand tools.
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing to interpret blueprints and part relationships.
Organized and detail-oriented with a proven track record of accountability.
Ability to follow processes/work instructions while identifying opportunities for efficiency and quality improvements.
Good attitude and strong teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not necessary
Prior machinist experience ideal.
Experience in a machine shop/manufacturing environment preferred.
Familiarity with mills; lathe experience is a plus.
Familiarity with LEAN standards and practices.

Responsibilities

Operate multiple, complex production equipment and/or a variety of machines to manufacture ceramic parts in compliance with work order instructions.
Run and cross-train on different types of machines, including surface grinders, MTIs, and CNC mills.
Perform basic machinist tasks such as tooling and offset changes (training provided; CNC programming not required).
Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality/customer specifications; take appropriate action on non-conforming parts and recommend solutions.
Transfer parts to the next process via computer software.
Load, unload, and stack product; transport product via hand-truck, forklift, crane, or hoist.
Clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
Train incoming operators on processes and procedures.
Wear required personal protective equipment at all times in designated areas.
