About The Position

The Bulk Operator position involves the effective and efficient operation of unloading all incoming trucks and railcars of fats, oils, and acetic anhydride into tanks. The role requires knowledge and skills to perform various job functions, including pressure checking and blowing lines with nitrogen, organizing job functions to meet product volume and quality, and ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation policies. The operator will also utilize SAP computer systems for production reporting and inventory control, promote teamwork, and maintain a clean and organized unloading/loading area.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of production schedules and ability to perform operations necessary to meet schedule requirements.
  • Ability to train operator trainees and communicate information effectively.
  • Understanding of safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Experience with SAP computer systems for production and inventory control.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire and apply job knowledge, skills and ability required to effectively and efficiently operate the unloading of all incoming trucks/railcars of fats/oils/acetic anhydride into tanks.
  • Take the initiative to organize and accurately perform all job functions required to meet the volume and quality of product scheduled.
  • Practice and promote safety, quality and sanitation by following plant policies, GMP's and procedures.
  • Insure efficient operations by acquiring and applying knowledge of current production schedules.
  • Utilize SAP computer systems for timely schedules and accurate reporting of production, inventory control and communication.
  • Promote employee driven and teamwork environment.
  • Provide production and inventory information by taking accurate measurements, counts and readings as required for process and inventory control.
  • Keep Unloading/Loading area clean, organized and operating efficiently.
  • Follow written or verbal instructions and work independently when necessary.
  • Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Compliance with applicable company policies to maintain a drug free workplace is required.
  • Compliance with all Company policies is required.
  • Other functions as required (non-essential functions).
  • Ensure adherence to all management systems including ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 and Food Safety.
