About The Position

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES General description of main/primary duties and responsibilities of the job, aptitude, level of complexity, span of control, autonomy, decision making and judgement. It is central and necessary to the satisfactory performance of the job. Includes the following and other duties as assigned. Under general supervision, this position will: Follow all of the Safety, Health, and Environmental policies, procedures, and requirements, ensuring personal safety, safety of others, and safety of the surrounding area. Actively participate in the installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of production facilities. Minimize well downtime by thoroughly understanding the cause; maintain and make regular repairs on production equipment to retain or recover lost production. Involve the appropriate Mechanic or Engineer when requiring additional assistance. Troubleshoot increasingly complex, non-routine issues and problem wells. Discuss improvements and implement approved solution in a safe manner. Identify opportunities and communicate ideas to further optimize field production, costs, etc. to assist with process improvement. Ensure all new wells are ready for production, including tank batteries, corrosion protection, necessary personnel, rental equipment, etc. Make sure daily activities, site conditions, and regulatory requirements are followed and maintained according to Company policies, procedures, and state and federal regulations. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two (2) years of production related experience.
  • Fundamental understanding of surface and/or subsurface equipment and operations.
  • Basic knowledge of downhole operations, failure analysis, and best practices.
  • Ability to identify problems and failures to perform troubleshooting skills and provide a solution.
  • Understand the safe operation of electrical systems, valves, and high-pressure and temperature systems on facilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to ask questions, observe, receive, and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources.
  • Ability to work professionally and respectfully with Land Owners, Operators, teams, and others.
  • Ability to safely operate vehicles, equipment, and tools.
  • Able to recognize and apply safety processes and procedures.
  • Possess valid driver’s license and clean driving record (MVR) that meet Company’s Insurance qualifications to operate Company vehicle.
