About The Position

The Production Operator II position is a full-time role with hours from Monday to Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. The company emphasizes quality and safety as top priorities. The operator will be responsible for operating and tending machines that perform various packaging functions, including assembly and downstream packaging automation equipment. Key tasks include starting machines, observing operations to detect malfunctions, stopping machines to report issues, clearing alarms, staging packaging materials, and ensuring the quality of finished products. The operator will also perform visual and basic dimensional inspections, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and adhere to health, safety, and quality guidelines.

Requirements

  • High School or Vo-Tech School graduate.
  • 1-3 years prior experience as a production operator preferred.
  • Additional education in related vo-tech, operations, or manufacturing field.
  • Prior experience in ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485 manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to log in to DELMIAWorks and enter production data.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow safety rules and operating instructions.
  • Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Self-motivated and conscientious with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to use measuring devices such as Comparator, Dial indicator, Go/No Go gauges.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of and/or previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and tend machines for packaging functions.
  • Start machines and observe operations to detect malfunctions.
  • Stop machines and report malfunctions to the process technician or supervisor.
  • Clear alarms, runner jams, sensors, and leak detectors.
  • Stage packaging material or WIP components.
  • Ensure quality of finished products and pack them on assembly and downstream packaging equipment.
  • Perform visual and basic dimensional inspections.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Adhere to and communicate all plant health, safety, and quality guidelines.
