Job Title Production Operator II - Parts Cleaner Responsible for executing precision manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality production output. This role requires expertise in processing and cleaning parts, including measuring, detailing, and ensuring they meet engineering and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Shift: Swing Shift: Monday - Friday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm PST
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not necessary
  • Experience: A minimum of six (6) months manufacturing experience
  • Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Standing long periods of time, including reaching, bending, twisting, and good visual acuity inspection
  • Repetitive Movements - You will be sanding and polishing parts
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Read/interpret standard and metric measurements
  • Intermediate math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
  • Deep knowledge of handheld measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, drop gauges, and advanced measuring equipment such as SmartScope or CMM
  • Use Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing to read and understand the relationship between complex blueprints and parts
  • Must exhibit attention to detail as well as excellent listening skills
  • Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds

Responsibilities

  • Perform washing, detailing, and polishing of parts to maintain product integrity.
  • Wash and detail parts to ensure cleanliness and readiness for the lapping process.
  • Prepare and clean granite tables for lapping operations.
  • Apply polishing techniques to part surfaces for high-quality finishes.
  • Utilize tape measures, calipers, micrometers, profilometers, and amplifiers to accurately measure parts.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to guide production processes.
  • Measure flatness and perpendicularity of beams, ensuring precision in alignment.
  • Operate advanced measurement tools such as the Autocollimator and profilometer.
  • Diamond roll lapping blocks and ensure proper granite table cleaning and preparation.
  • Maintain quality control (QC) standards for finished parts.
  • Train new employees in operational processes and safety guidelines.
  • Consistently meet production deadlines and efficiency targets.
