The position involves essential duties and responsibilities that include following all safety rules and procedures, working productively in a fast-paced environment, and collaborating closely with local management and production personnel to achieve the objective of 'My Goal is Zero Accidents'. The role requires checking all work orders and specification sheets for specific work instructions, performing hourly quality checks, and ensuring accuracy in paperwork as required by ISO, GMP, and HACCP standards. Additionally, the employee will collect retains during quality checks for Quality Control inspection, inspect work for accuracy and completeness, and perform random quality checks every 5 to 10 minutes to ensure product specifications are met. Responsibilities also include ensuring the correct materials and quality control tools are used, producing labels for cartons/spools, making cartons/spools when needed, assigning lot numbers, limiting scrap and waste of material, changing a line over to another part/style number, troubleshooting the line, and providing training or assistance to other employees as needed.

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work orders, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to print simple sentences and legibly complete reports.
  • Ability to follow and understand verbal instructions.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratios, and percentages to practical situations.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
