About The Position

The Production Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring packaging equipment in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role ensures that products are packaged according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), regulatory standards, and company procedures, while maintaining high levels of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in pharmaceuticals.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Ability to operate machinery and equipment safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work in shifts, including late or early hours, weekends, and overtime if necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a production operator role.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and practices in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

  • Operates manual and semi-automatic compression moulding/trimming machines in accordance with SOP’s and WI’s to produce moulded sheets of varied products from preform rubber compounds.
  • Preforms Pre-control on rubber compounds in accordance to productivity standards.
  • Adheres to all safety rules in accordance with SOP’s, GMP as well as federal, state and local safety regulations.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to quality and works conscientiously and accurately.
  • Identifies problems in time and strives to solve them.
  • Collaborates on DPS initiatives for continuous improvement.
  • Works under the guidance of Supervisor or Crew Leader to perform and complete the assigned duties in a timely manner.
  • Ensures that equipment is maintained in good and safe working condition and work area is clean, safe and organized.
  • Monitors equipment performance and recommends improvements.
  • Follows organizational and work specific instructions, attends applicable trainings and meetings.
  • Meets productivity standards and can organize and perform work effectively.
  • Promotes safety standards at the workplace and identifies potential safety risks.
  • Demonstrates initiative to exceed common performance and flexibly adopts changes in tasks, workplace, or team.
  • Trains new operators and/or trainees as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
