About The Position

We are looking for a Production Operator to join our Transportation & Infrastructure (Pole) Business Unit. The Production Operator is responsible for entry level manufacturing tasks in accordance with product specifications. At Millerbernd, we don’t just offer jobs—we build careers. Requirements

  • Experience with mechanical machines or devices
  • High attention to detail
  • Skill of effective and appropriate verbal and written communication skills
  • Skill to operate various precision measuring tools and hand tools
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical drawings, operating instructions, procedures and prints
  • Ability to perform basic shop math functions
  • Ability to read and understand required internal manufacturing paperwork in English
  • Ability to electronically record production information
  • Ability to work with others as part of a high-performance team
  • Ability to adapt to changing work priorities

Responsibilities

  • Perform clean-up, grinding, drilling, straightening, blast booth, cutting, galvanizing process preparation and general production support tasks
  • Use hoist or other material handling equipment to transport materials and product into and out of the work area as required
  • Examine finished products for defects
  • Accurately label all parts for routing to next operation
  • Monitor the production board and internal paperwork to perform tasks in the designated sequence
  • Enter job data in production tracking system
  • Ensure use of safe work procedures and wear all required PPE
  • Perform work at the appropriate pace to maintain quality and productivity requirements
  • Follow company policies in relation to safety, cleanliness, attendance etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested
