JOB TITLE: Production Operator I – 2nd Shift (4pm – 12:30am) Facility: Packaging Operations Center – Eagle Blvd., Shelbyville, TN Reports to: Operations Supervisor Posting Date: 1/7/2026 Deadline to apply: 1/31/2026

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
  • Team oriented
  • Ability to read, write and perform basic math skills with strong attention to detail including speed and accuracy in counting and verification.
  • Strong communication both written and verbal
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Highly motivated team player, willing to accept additional responsibilities and strive for continuous improvement.
  • Interact with and work well with others in various fast changing environments/ situations.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the operation of hand pack and displays lines.
  • Lead a small team of team members daily.
  • Able to communicate to, train, coach and develop team members assigned to area of responsibility.
  • Must drive productivity and efficiency performance in the workstation while maintaining highest levels of safety and quality.
  • Maintains adherence to production schedules for the workstation. Ensures work is completed at the correct quantity and in the proper time frame.
  • Performs changeovers as needed.
  • Good understanding of operations cards and schematics.
  • Performs necessary calculations before and after each production order. Completes necessary paperwork to record production and quality performance daily.
  • Ensures standard quality checks are performed properly and regularly.
  • Always keeps work cell neat and clean. Maintains lean work environment and strives to eliminate waste in the workstation.
  • Maintain safe work environment by watching out for foot traffic; following standards and procedures; complying with operating policies and regulations; wear all required safety PPE and operate all work duties in a safe manner following proper procedures.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Other duties as assigned.
