About The Position

Solid Power is seeking a Production Operator to join our talented team working to revolutionize the battery industry through the development of next-generation, all solid-state rechargeable batteries. Solid Power is a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative team environment. The Production Operator supports daily manufacturing of electrolyte powder used in next-generation battery materials. This role involves operating production and powder-handling equipment, following strict safety and quality procedures, and ensuring consistent product output. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a controlled chemical production environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in chemical manufacturing, powder production, or similar environments preferred.
  • Comfortable working with powders, chemicals, and glovebox or controlled-atmosphere operations.
  • Ability to understand SOPs, follow instructions, and maintain accurate records.
  • Basic computer skills (training provided on internal systems).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional & team-oriented environment.
  • Available to work a 7:00am to 3:30pm shift (Monday through Friday).
  • Ability to lift 50lbs daily.
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary including, but not limited to eye protection, hair net, gloves, face mask, coveralls, full-face respirator or PAPR.

Responsibilities

  • Operate mixers, reactors, dryers, jet mills, sieves, and packaging systems according to SOPs.
  • Monitor equipment performance and notify leadership of abnormalities or required adjustments.
  • Assist with equipment cleaning, changeovers, and basic maintenance tasks.
  • Accurately weigh, stage raw materials and powders.
  • Transfer materials between production steps using approved handling methods.
  • Package, label, and seal electrolyte powder following quality and safety requirements.
  • Complete batch records, log sheets, and digital entries with full accuracy.
  • Perform in-process checks as trained.
  • Communicate any deviations, material issues, or safety concerns immediately.
  • Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and chemical-handling protocols.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace in accordance with 5S and housekeeping standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and throughput.
