About The Position

The Production Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring packaging equipment in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role ensures that products are packaged according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), regulatory standards, and company procedures, while maintaining high levels of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Experience in operating packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work in shifts, including late or early hours, weekends, and overtime if necessary.
  • Strong commitment to quality and attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify problems and collaborate on solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with SOPs and work instructions.
  • Previous experience in training new employees.

Responsibilities

  • Operates manual and semi-automatic compression moulding/trimming machines in accordance with SOP’s and WI’s to produce moulded sheets of varied products from preform rubber compounds.
  • Preforms Pre-control on rubber compounds in accordance to productivity standards.
  • Adheres to all safety rules in accordance with SOP’s, GMP as well as federal, state and local safety regulations.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to quality and works conscientiously and accurately.
  • Identifies problems in time and strives to solve them.
  • Collaborates on DPS initiatives for continuous improvement.
  • Works under the guidance of Supervisor or Crew Leader to perform and complete the assigned duties in a timely manner.
  • Ensures that equipment is maintained in good and safe working condition and work area is clean, safe and organized.
  • Monitors equipment performance and recommends improvements.
  • Follows organizational and work specific instructions, attends applicable trainings and meetings.
  • Fulfils tasks efficiently and in due course, meeting productivity standards.
  • Promotes safety standards at the workplace and identifies potential safety risks.
  • Demonstrates initiative to exceed common performance and flexibly adopts changes in tasks, workplace, or team.
  • Trains new operators and/or trainees as requested.
  • Participates in department or quality team meetings and suggests improvements.
