About The Position

Millerbernd Manufacturing in Winsted, MN is seeking a Production Operator 1 to join our Transportation & Infrastructure (Pole) team. The Production Operator 1 is responsible for entry-level manufacturing tasks following product specifications. This includes using power tools to grind and drill.

Requirements

• Experience with mechanical machines or devices, preferring electrical and/or mechanical assembly
• Skill of effective and appropriate verbal and written communication skills
• Skill to operate various precision measuring tools and hand tools
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical drawings, operating instructions, procedures, and prints.

Responsibilities

• Perform clean-up, grinding, drilling, straightening, blast booth, cutting, galvanizing process preparation and general production support tasks
• Use a hoist or other material handling equipment to transport materials and products into and out of the work area as required
• Examine finished products for defects
• Accurately label all parts for routing to the next operation
• Monitor the production board and internal paperwork to perform tasks in the designated sequence.
