About The Position

An Embroidery Employee is responsible for creating intricate and high-quality embroidery designs on various fabrics and materials. This role involves both hand and machine embroidery techniques to meet client specifications and ensure the final product meets quality standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• One year experience in textile industry.
• 2 years sewing experience.
• Strong knowledge of sewing machine operations.
• Experience maintaining industrial sewing machines (Zig zag, straight stitch, post, and chenille machines).

Responsibilities

• Understand the embroidery requirements and specifications.
• Use software programs to create or modify embroidery designs.
• Choose appropriate threads, fabrics, and needles based on design requirements.
• Set up and operate embroidery machines, ensuring they are correctly threaded and adjusted.
• Monitor machine operation to detect problems such as defective stitching, breaks in thread, or machine malfunctions.
• Perform hand embroidery when necessary to achieve specific design details.
• Inspect completed work for defects and make necessary adjustments.
• Maintain and repair embroidery equipment to ensure smooth operation.
