If you are interested in training for a new career with our facility, we encourage you to apply! WHAT IS A CAST HOUSE? The Cast House is a structure that holds an aluminum smelter. Howmet Aerospace's smelters are among the safest in the world. Our modern aluminum smelter will require trained and skilled operators. Position Summary: Prepare, assemble, and install casting materials and equipment. Operate casting lines to cast aluminum billet (ingot) as well as inspection of cast ingot and scrap.
Requirements
- Training will be provided to the selected candidate!
- Entry level candidates encouraged to apply!
- Ability to read and understand all warning labels, JSA and MSDS
- Ability to be Mobile Equipment Certified
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- 1 years manufacturing experience
- High School Diploma, GED, or 2 years work experience
- Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Nice To Haves
- Foundry or casting experience is preferred
- Manufacturing experience
Responsibilities
- Charge furnace safely and control the furnace level per standard operating procedures.
- Prepare the casting lines and filter boxes following standard or special operating procedures.
- Visual inspection of all cast ingot.
- Safely monitor and maintain cast lines per standard operating procedure.
- Ship acceptable ingot per standard operating procedures.
- Record operating data onto check sheets.
- Make process adjustments.
- Operate forklift when needed
