About The Position

Work is guided by diverse procedures, processes and/or technical methods of varying complexity. Decisions/actions may have an impact beyond the job's immediate work unit or team. Works under general supervision. Situations not covered by standard processes, procedures and methods are referred to expert resources. May be directed to work on other products in the cleanroom environment to meet customer needs. May provide functional guidance to others performing similar work. May demonstrate work methods to new employees. Deals directly with immediate supervisor, co-workers and team members; engages in exchanges of factual information and provides some explanation in a problem solving capacity; interactions with external contacts, if applicable, require exchanging factual information and providing some explanation. Candidates will also be considered for extended off site training and would be expected to be able to travel.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of mechanical assembly processes.
  • Prior experience using calibrated torque tools.
  • High level of detail and quality standards.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic understanding of math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Ability to recognize problems in the assembly process or with assembly components and work with their direct supervisor and/or engineering to address those problems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
  • Knowledge of computer applications and the ability to accurately perform tasks in some or all of the following applications: Word, Excel and Documentation control systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to Helium leak detection preferred
  • Exposure to pressure decay testing preferred
  • Basic knowledge of the use of multimeter preferred
  • Understanding of ISO 5 (Class 100) cleanroom protocols preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs manual assembly, operation of automated test equipment, and inspection and repair of products in a cleanroom environment.
  • Moves from one operation and/or product to another as schedule dictates.
  • Inspects product using visual, automated, electronic and mechanical inspection procedures.
  • Uses automated and non-automated diagnostic programs to perform electronic product testing and functional testing of products.
  • Troubleshoots, highlights and communicates issues relating to routine and/or basic defects.
  • Perform inventory audits and line setups as needed.
