Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • Eighteen (18) years or older.
  • 6 months of Food or chemical manufacturing experience ideal.
  • 3 months prior electric pallet jack operation and safety certification preferred.
  • Ability to maintain a good attendance record and availability for overtime.
  • Must be self-motivated and conscientious.
  • Ability to work well with a team or other coworkers.
  • Maintain high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to complete certification requirements.
  • Use of MS products, Excel and SAP software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that filling equipment, tools, supplies, and work areas are maintained according to applicable GMP.
  • Safely set up, operate and sanitize high-speed filling and packaging equipment including fillers, cappers, labelers, case erecter, case packer, case and/or bottle coders, palletizers and pallet wrapper.
  • Accurately record production data, turning all related documents to inventory control at end of shift.
  • Effectively correct downtime issues, and report issues that are impacting production.
  • Perform flavor changes, washouts and weekly cleaning of tanks, pipes and equipment (CIP and COP) and floors.
  • Calibrate and operate pH meters, and refractometers, perform relative Quality Assurance monitoring.
  • Hand stack and/or manual pack-off.
  • Maintain all quality, sanitation and production documents in accordance with plant quality, safety and environmental requirements.
  • Safely handle chemicals, perform chemical testing and document strength and usage.
  • Use manual and/or electrical pallet jack.
