About The Position

Airgas is Hiring for a Production Operator in Memphis, TN! Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Recruiter: Tammie Stacye/[email protected]/(417) 818-3788 Fills cryogenic liquids and pure non-flammable industrial gases according to Airgas Fill Plant Standard Operating Procedures. Sets pressure gauge to specified reading and watches for indication of full cylinders. Adjusts valves and observes gauge to fill cylinder to specified pressure. Observes scale indicator to fill cylinders to specified weight. ills cylinder to full capacity, rolls cylinder onto scale and connects vent line to release excess gas and attain prescribed weight. Rolls cylinders onto platform, or positions cylinders in manifold racks manually or with the aid of material handling equipment. Tests gas for purity using testing equipment. Inspects or tests empty cylinders. Examines exterior of cylinder for surface defects such as dents, cracks, or burns, and deciphers whether or not to quarantine the cylinder for further inspection.

Requirements

  • Must have the ability to become Forklift Certified
  • Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future. This position is not open for non-immigrant visa sponsorship.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend all written documents and instructions.

  • Forklift experience preferred
