About The Position

This position supports the Installations, Logistics, and Manufacturing (ILM) Business Unit at the Production Facility in Ogden, UT. This employee must be a versatile member of the manufacturing team responsible for supporting key functions across production operations. This position will support multiple aspects of the manufacturing facility as we continue to grow, meaning this employee will take on many different tasks, including but not limited to: Estimating and Quoting Inventory Management Purchasing Support Data Entry & Analysis Special Projects Coordination

Requirements

  • Experience with ERP systems and inventory software preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel or database systems for data entry and basic analysis
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and handle multiple tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Must be able to obtain an active U.S. SECRET clearance and be subject to a government security investigation.
  • Driving or renting a car for company business is expected with some frequency. For insurance purposes, a valid driver’s license is required.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (technical degree preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with wire harness or electro-mechanical assembly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Create cost and labor estimates for small wire harness assemblies based on engineering drawing packages
  • Track inventory levels and issue materials to work orders
  • Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies
  • Assist in placing purchase orders for parts and supplies
  • Assist on material and labor scheduling
  • Enter production and inventory data into ERP/MRP systems
  • Manipulate Engineering drawings into indentured BOMs that can be uploaded into ERP/MRP Systems
  • Generate and analyze reports related to material usage, lead times, and order fulfillment
  • Lead or assist in special projects such as production improvement initiatives, re-vamping the inventory system, or layout optimization
  • Liaise with Engineering to provide technical updates to production and manufacturing inputs to the Engineering team
