About The Position

The Production Operations Coordinator at the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) is responsible for overseeing all production and operational activities within the Design & Production team. This role involves managing production workflows, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines, and creating standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline processes. The coordinator acts as the central point of contact for requestors, vendors, and internal teams, ensuring projects align with the Association's communication plans and are delivered on time with high-quality standards. The position also focuses on optimizing processes, managing resources, and enhancing team efficiency and output.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant area from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education and practical experience.
  • Five years of related experience in production operations, purchasing, and/or project management.
  • Experience in both print and digital production processes, preferably within large organizations or high-volume print production firms.
  • Proven experience in developing and managing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Strong understanding of print and digital production processes and brand management.
  • Experience collaborating with purchasing teams and managing vendor relationships.
  • Professional experience in design, communications, and/or media-focused companies with large in-house marketing/communications teams is a plus.
  • Excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, XD) and project management tools.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all production and operational activities within the Design & Production team.
  • Manage production workflows and ensure adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline processes.
  • Act as the central point of contact for requestors, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Ensure projects align with the Association's communication plans and are delivered on time.
  • Review all deliverables and ensure projects are completed to specification within deadlines.
  • Provide quality assurance and consistent brand representation across campaigns.
  • Improve operational procedures and performance.
  • Efficiently manage workflows and provide guidance as needed.
  • Ensure effective and transparent communication with internal stakeholders and requestors.
